Private Paediatric Occupational Therapy with Larchwood
Nature-based OT
Toronto | Etobicoke | Markdale
We embrace the healing power of nature and the versatility of OT to treat kids in a very unique way.
The Larchwood Approach
We use a nature-based or a nature-loving approach. Most of our sessions take place outdoors. The forest is our clinic and we see kids in all types of weather.
We love to work on sensory preferences, emotional regulation, and nature connection. This may not be the best fit for all families and kids so reach out to discuss your child’s needs and interests!
A Safe, Supportive Environment for Kids to be Themselves
We assess each child’s current abilities, set goals based on the activities most important to them and their families, and develop a nature-based treatment plan. Our child-centred approach allows us to customize therapy activities to each special child. Our sessions take place outdoors in all types of weather. This gives us the opportunity to develop resilience, strengthen problem solving skills and experience a new environment. Sessions are rescheduled in extreme weather including thunder, lightning, high winds or poor visibility.
