Kayla Soosar, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Kayla Soosaar, BSc. Psychology, MSc(OT), OT Reg. (Ont.) is a registered Occupational Therapist with diverse experience in both traditional and innovative therapeutic settings. She graduated with a BSc in Psychology from the University of Ottawa in 2015 and went on to earn her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2022. Through her work with the National Health Service (NHS) in Scotland, Kayla gained valuable insight into delivering effective occupational therapy services across different healthcare systems. Kayla's clinical experience spans several areas, including nature-based therapy, where she worked as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, utilizing the therapeutic benefits of natural environments to enhance her clients' well-being. Additionally, she has provided telehealth services to adults with ADHD, focusing on symptom management and improving daily functioning in both home and work settings. Kayla has also specialized in brain injury rehabilitation, with training as a certified Brain Fx assessor and MoCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment) administrator. Kayla’s clinical approach is grounded in her calm, empathetic, and nurturing personality, which helps clients feel supported as they work through challenges such as anxiety or executive dysfunction. She tailors her therapeutic strategies to meet individual needs, utilizing a sensory based and holistic perspective that takes into account both physical and emotional well-being. Outside of her professional work, Kayla is an avid yoga practitioner, dancer, and outdoor adventurer.

Kayla provides virtual 1:1 services for teens aged 13-17 and adults.

Kayla is available for virtual services Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. She is currently accepting new clients.
